LSU football made a big addition to its 2026 recruiting class on Thursday. The Tigers earned a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez, one of the top prospects in the state of Louisiana.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Martinez is the No. 59 ranked recruit in college football’s 2026 recruiting class. ESPN is the highest on Martinez, slotting the tackle No. 32 overall, No. 4 at his position, and No. 3 in the state.

Martinez plays his high school football at East Ascension in Gonzales, LA.

On3’s Industry Rankings rank Martinez as the No. 8 tackle in the class. All four major recruiting services rank Martinez as a top-10 tackle in 2026.

After Martinez committed, LSU’s 2026 class now ranks No. 3 in the country.

Martinez is the sixth recruit to join LSU’s 2026 group. He’s the top-rated offensive commit, with defensive linemen and safety Aiden Hall ranking higher.

Martinez is the second offensive lineman to join the class. Three-star guard Jalen Chapman joined the fold last July.

The Martinez addition continues LSU’s successful run of recruiting the top linemen in Louisiana. The state has produced several blue-chip tackles in recent years, including Will Campbell, Emery Jones, and Tyree Adams. LSU also signed five-star Lance Heard in 2023, but he later transferred to Tennessee.
