Britain’s Tom Pidcock won the the AlUla Tour in Saudi Arabia in his first race since joining the Q36.5 Pro team last month.

Pidcock, 25, comfortably held on to his advantage on Saturday’s final flat run, having won two of the first four stages.

The double Olympic champion, who retained his Olympic mountain bike title at Paris 2024, left Ineos Grenadiers in December to sign a three-year contract with Q36.5.

“I did it [won] at junior level but never at elite,” he said. “We won as a team. I know it’s only a five-day race but we didn’t even know each other until December.”

Pidcock’s Italian team-mate Matteo Moschetti won the final stage after outsprinting Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen.
