The Oregon Ducks did something in the 2024 college football season that nobody expected them to.

They walked into the Big Ten Conference as members for the first time in the history of the sport, and they beat every team in their path on the way to a conference championship at the end of the year. There were doubts about whether or not Oregon’s “West Coast” style of play was going to be adaptable in the legendary conference, and how the Ducks would hold up against the beefy teams in the Midwest.

It turns out that Dan Lanning and his team did just fine, finishing with a perfect 13-0 regular season and a title in Indianapolis at the beginning of December.

Now, can they turn around and do it again in 2025? That’s a different question and one that will be easier to answer once we see the play of QB Dante Moore and some of the new faces on the roster. According to the early betting odds released by Fanduel Sportsbook, though, Oregon will certainly be in the mix.

Here’s how Fanduel projects the conference will shape up in 2025 with their odds of winning the conference:

It comes as no surprise that the Ducks and Buckeyes are at the top of the list, seeing as they were considered among the two best teams in the nation in 2024, and split their season series 1-1 with Ohio State getting the last laugh in the Rose Bowl on their way to an eventual national championship.

Behind them, though, the Nittany Lions and Wolverines could be interesting in 2025, with a lot of promise going into the new year. Once you get past those top four, it’s hard to see anyone having a real chance, as Indiana makes the most sense, but will be breaking in a new quarterback next season.

With how Oregon’s roster is shaping up this offseason, the hype is starting to build quickly with spring football just over a month away. Let’s check back in after the spring season and look at these odds once again to see how they change.
