In barely a year, English teenage sensation Luke Littler has become arguably the biggest name in the world of darts, bursting onto the scene at the 2023/24 World Darts Championship at the age of just 16 and making it all the way to the final of the biggest competition the sport has to offer. 12 months on, Littler is back and ready to go at Ally Pally.

Littler has been very busy indeed in the period between the two World Championships, establishing himself as a household name on the darts circuit and one of the best players on the planet too. He’s won the Premier League, Grand Slam of Darts and the World Series Finals on top of several other major honours, with titles collected the world over.

Winning tournaments in Bahrain, Poland, Belgium and Austria as well as across the UK, Littler – now the world number four – returns to the stage where he made his name and, as one of the top 32-seeded players in the tournament, enters in the Second Round with a view to adding another major title to his name this year.

Luke Littler World Darts Championships results

After qualifying for last year’s World Darts Championship by finishing second in the 2023 PDC Development Tour series, a 16-year-old Littler took the world of darts by storm from his very first throw.

Littler beat Christian Kist 3-0, Andrew Gilding 3-1, Matt Campbell 4-1 and four-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld 4-1 in the first, second, third and fourth rounds respectively, with his dispatching of ‘Barney’ to reach the Last 16 showing that the teenager was something special.

Having made light work of Brendan Dolan (5-1) and Scott Williams (6-0) in the quarters and semifinals respectively, the seemingly unstoppable Littler became the youngest player by a distance to ever reach a World Championship Final, where his run finally came to an end in a 7-4 loss to world number one Humphries.
