LA Galaxy have been hit with a significant injury blow just days out from the MLS Cup final.
Tests confirmed star midfielder Riqui Puig ruptured his ACL during the second half of the semi-final clash with Seattle Sounders.
The 25-year-old played a stunning 30 minutes on the injury and finished the game before scans confirmed the worst on Sunday morning.
Puig was a vital player in helping the Galaxy reach another MLS Cup final. His assist notably set up Dejan Joveljić for the game-winner against Seattle.
Throughout the season, he has registered a staggering 17 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.

Puig is now set for surgery while the Galaxy will now face New York Red Bulls without their lynchpin on December 7.
