Infamous ex-Wolverines football staffer Connor Stalions could reportedly get another school in Michigan, CMU, hit with violations from the NCAA. According to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd, Chippewas head coach Jim McElwain, specifically, is under investigation.

“Central Michigan coach Jim McElwain is the subject of an ongoing NCAA investigation involving Connor Stalions’ appearance on the Chippewas sideline last fall, sources told CBS Sports. The NCAA is seeking to determine if McElwain had a role in allowing Stalions on the sideline of the Chippewas’ season opener against Michigan State. Stalions is also at the center of an ongoing and separate NCAA investigation of Michigan,” Dodd reported.

“If the NCAA finds McElwain was involved in allowing Stalions’ on the sideline, however, the result could be major violations.”

Connor Stalions could get Wolverines football program in trouble again after taking shocking Michigan high school job

Stalions’ name has popped back up around Michigan coaching circles in the high school realm; specifically, coaching LSU QB commit and Wolverines flip target Bryce Underwood at Belleville in a utility coaching role.

As CBS Sports’ Shehan Jeyarajah points out, Stalions’ new role can get Michigan in trouble again if Underwood ends up staying in his home state.

“Connor Stalions being allowed within 100 miles of the No. 1 player in the country while he’s on flip watch to Michigan is insane. Dude is gonna end up in an NCAA investigation the second he signs at this rate,” Jeyarajah tweeted.

Stalions has become a legendary folklore hero in The Great Lakes State after helping Michigan go undefeated, win the Big Ten, and defeat Alabama and Washington en route to a College Football Playoff.

But Icarus is flying too close to the sun right now after largely avoiding discipline thus far.
