🎥 Columbus Crew’s MLS Cup defence off to rocky start at home

Reigning MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew would have wanted their playoff campaign to get off to a better start.

Wilfried Nancy’s side fell behind after only 25 minutes of Tuesday’s first match of three against the New York Red Bulls.

Midfielder Felipe Carballo was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time as the 28-year-old poked home beyond goalkeeper Patrick Schulte for his first MLS goal.

It means the reigning champions have to come from behind to grab an early advantage against NYRB before their next two games.

But as fans displayed before kick-off, this isn’t their first rodeo.

Crew manager Wilfried Nancy previously discussed how last year’s success was made a playoff habit of coming from behind.

The question is, can they do it again?
