The Chicago Blackhawks have signed defensemen Isaak Phillips and Louis Crevier to one-year, two-way contracts that have $775,000 salary cap hits and run through the 2024-25 season.
Both D-men were called up to Chicago last season after the Blackhawks were hit by waves of injuries. Phillips, 22, and Crevier, 23, will be in training camp this September and likely assigned to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. See THN’s new lineup feature in link below.
The 6-foot-3 Phillips, played in 33 games with the Blackhawks in 2023-24, posting six assists. He dressed in 29 regular-season games with the Rockford notching 14 points (4G, 10A).
From Barrie, Ontario, Phillips was selected by the Blackhawks in the fifth round (141st overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
Crevier is the tallest player in the Blackhawks organization at 6-foot-8. He made his NHL debut on Dec. 3, 2023 against Minnesota, then appeared in 24 games during the 2023-24 campaign recording three assists.
Crevier skated in 41 regular-season games with Rockford last season, recording 11 points (3G, 8A). The native of Quebec City was picked by the Blackhawks in the seventh round (188th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
