It was a big Saturday for the Florida Gators, who landed a commitment from Tae’Shaun Gelsey.

A class of 2025 recruit from Riverside (Jacksonville, Florida), Gelsey picked Florida over a final six that also included Auburn, UCF, Kentucky, Tulane and Wake Forest. Gelsey posted his top six on June 3.

A dual-sport athlete who also plays basketball, Gelsey is a match-up nightmare at the high school level. At 6-foot-10 and 210 pounds, Gelsey has a good catch radius and moves very well down the field.

Rivals ranks him as the No. 59 player in Florida and the No. 22 tight end prospect.

He took an official visit to Florida in the last week of May before taking a trip to Auburn. Last weekend, he was at Tulane.

He joins wide receiver Joshua Moore as one of two four-star commits in this Florida class.

Gelsey is the eighth commit for Florida in the 2025 class. Nationally, the class is ranked No. 65 by 247Sports.
