Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is having himself a fantastic June.

He signed a record-breaking contract extension for a non-quarterback worth $140 million over four years with $110 million guaranteed. Those numbers aren’t just historic, but Jefferson has proven that he’s worth the money.

When the details of the contract came out, it was revealed that he was due a massive signing bonus of $36.938 million. We now know how much Jefferson will receive and when. The Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling reported that Jefferson will get $16 million by the end of June and the rest with his weekly paychecks throughout the season.

That is a large chunk of change for Jefferson to get all at once but he is more than deserving. Getting the rest of his signing bonus throughout the year will beef up his weekly paychecks which are currently set at the minimum salary.
