Colorado Rockies GM Jeff Bridich and Rockies owner Dick Monfort have some explaining to do. The Colorado Rockies are the worst team in MLB, not in terms of their record, but in terms of how they are run. Despite having good players like Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story, German Marquez, Jon Gray, and Charlie Blackmon, they are a team without depth, direction, or desire to actually build a formidable team.

Obviously, the Nolan Arenado trade to the St. Louis Cardinals looms huge in this episode of Baseball Bits, a Foolish Baseball production. The warning signs with the Rockies were already present though. From the departure of DJ LeMahieu, to the signing of Ian Desmond, they’ve made bad moves. Bridich and Monfort have also failed to construct a team capable of playing in the Coors Field air. It all culminates in, once again, the worst team in baseball. The Rockies stink. The Rockies are bad. The Rockies are not good. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Rockies draft, Rockies prospect, Rockies free agent signings. Nothing works. And now, the price to pay is the creation of the Nolan Arenado Cardinals.
