Australian basketball legend Lauren Jackson had her #15 jersey retired by the Storm on 15 July 2016 at the Key Arena, in a ceremony that lasted nearly an hour, and paid fitting tribute to the body of work that Jackson has put together throughout her career.

Lauren Jackson’s jersey is also the first number to be retired in the Seattle Storm’s franchise history.

A two-time WNBA champion (2004, 2010) and three-time MVP, Jackson’s tenure with Seattle lasted from 2001 to 2012.

Possibly one of the best ever to play in the WNBA, Jackson led the league in scoring nine times in this period, and is also a top 10 all-time in rebounds, and a top 5 all-time holder in blocks. She also led the league in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) six times, an all-time first in league history.

Jackson played a total of 317 regular season games and 31 postseason games. She averaged 18.9 points, 7.7 rebounds in her career during the season, and 17.5 points, 7.8 rebounds in the postseason.
