🎥 D.C. United’s Benteke lifts the veil on 2024 and one important month

D.C. United and MLS star Christian Benteke has quickly found himself in the spotlight across North America after an incredible season in the US capital.

The former Belgian international brought his wealth of goalscoring experience to Audi Park in August of 2022 after signing on the dotted line as a designated player on an initial two-and-a-half-year contract.

Now fully bedded in, the 34-year-old is fresh off claiming Golden Boot honors during the 2024 MLS season, though Black-and-Red would miss out on post-season action due to goal difference.

He’s already started strong in 2025, too, scoring in the club’s season-opening 2-2 draw against Toronto FC.

But for Benteke, the opportunity to lift the veil on his success last season, why he celebrates the way he does, and what Black History Month means to the Kinshasa-born striker, was an opportunity too good to ignore.

Sit back and enjoy some insight into a player who influences many on multiple continents.
