The Columbus Crew cruised past New England in their penultimate game of the MLS campaign to secure a second-place finish in the Eastern Conference.

An early stunner from DeJuan Jones, followed up by an Alexandru Mățan hat-trick was more than enough for the hosts to collect all three points without truly needing to flex their muscles.

Check out the highlights below.

The Crew head into a decision day showdown with the New York Red Bulls with little to play for but keeping their pumps primed heading into the playoffs — though they did make history against the Revs Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, the Revolution will focus on their holiday plans after failing to qualify for the postseason.
