NBA executives and scouts have flocked to Nevada to watch two of the top NBA Draft prospects in the Class of 2023.

Victor Wembanyama and French club Metropolitans 92 will face off against Scoot Henderson and the G League Ignite on Tuesday night. At this stage in the pre-draft process, Wembanyama and Henderson are sitting at the top of the vast majority of NBA Mock Draft boards — and for good reason.

Wembanyama is a truly unique player. He can operate in the paint at 7-4 with a ridiculous 8-foot wingspan, but he is also comfortable stepping out beyond the arc. Henderson, a 6-2 guard, should be a tough assignment at the next level. He is an elite athlete capable of finishing at the rim or pulling up off the dribble.

Which prospect will deliver the most impressive performance?

The Sporting News is tracking live scoring updates and highlights from the highly anticipated matchup between Wembanyama and Henderson. Follow along right here.

G League Ignite vs. Metropolitans 92 live updates, highlights from Victor Wembanyama-Scoot Henderson matchup

Fourth quarter:

11:56 p.m. — Metropolitan 92 takes a fourth-quarter lead 95-93. We’ve got a big finish coming up here.

End of third quarter: Ignite 91, Mets 88

11:53 p.m. — Mets 92 outscore the Ignite by 16 points in the third quarter to cut the deficit to just three points.

Wembanyama found his rhythm from the 3-point line and now has a game-high 26 points.

11:40 p.m. — Here comes Wembaynama!

He’s looking much more comfortable offensively in the second half, operating out of the post and putting the ball on the floor. His jump shot is near-unguardable with the high release point. Wow. Ignite lead 85-80.

11:38 p.m. — Scoot got game!

11:37 p.m. — Metropolitans 92 open the third period on a 23-9 run to cut the deficit to just five points midway through the third. Ignite lead 80-75.

11:27 p.m. — Wembanyama starts the second half with a bang, knocking down back-to-back threes.

He’s up to 15 points on 3-of-4 from deep.

Half-time: Ignite 71, Mets 52

The Ignite finish the half in style to take a 19-point lead. Scoot Henderson leads the way with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while Hugo Besson has 18 for Mets.

11:04 p.m. — Aubrey Dawkins closes the half with an emphatic alley-oop finish. Sheesh!

10:54 p.m. — Donovan Mitchell likes what he sees.

10:50 p.m. — The Ignite’s transition game is causing problems for Mets, getting the ball down court in a hurry for some easy looks at the rim. Naturally, it’s much easier to score when Wembanyama isn’t waiting at the rim.

10:43 p.m. — Hugo Besson, the No. 58 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, buries the triple to cut the lead back to single digits. Ignite lead 42-34.

10:40 p.m. — Henderson showing off the full offensive arsenal early in this one. His ability to create space off the dribble is already elite. He leads all scorers with 16 points.

10:34 p.m. — SHOWTIME SCOOT!

Henderson gets out in the open floor and rocks the rim!

10:30 p.m. — WNBA and FIBA World Cup champs A’Ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray are in the building.

End of first quarter: Ignite 30, Mets 24

10:25 p.m. — Ja Morant is a fan.

10:20 p.m. — Victor and Scoot aren’t shying away from the occasion as they trade buckets early in the contest.

10:10 p.m. — Scoot Henderson has been aggressive to start the first quarter, looking for his shot and attacking the basket. Ignite lead 15-11.

10:08 p.m. — Wembanyama shows off his length and athleticism from the jump, coming across from the weakside for the big rejection.

10:07 p.m. — Just your typical 7-foot-3 point guard!

10:05 p.m. — And we’re underway as Scoot Henderson gets the first bucket of the game.

Pregame

9:30 p.m. — Nearly tip-off time!

9:14 p.m. — Victor is in the house!

Victor Wembanyama scouting report

The Sporting News’ Scott Rafferty explained why Wembanyama is the No. 1 pick in nearly every available mock draft:

Offensively, Wembanyama has drawn comparisons to Wizards forward Kristaps Porzingis for his ability to stretch the floor at a high level as a 7-footer. While the numbers aren’t there yet, keep in mind that he’s only a teenager. Also, he sure looks the part of a shooter. Not only is he capable of spotting up and picking-and-popping, but he can operate off of screens like a wing. …

Wembanyama does more traditional big man things as well. He’s a legitimate lob threat, he’s flashed some potential playing out of the post and he’s already a big-time rim protector. One more player Wembanyama has been compared to: Jazz star and fellow Frenchman Rudy Gobert, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year who will go down as one of the most dominant defenders in NBA history. Wembanyama is a massive presence around the basket, and he’s agile enough to step out to the perimeter. …

Put it all together — the size, length, shooting, handle, defensive chops, fluidity — and it’s no wonder why people are losing their minds over Wembanyama. The icing on the cake is he won’t turn 19 years old until January, so he’s only scratching the surface of his potential.

Scoot Henderson scouting report

The Sporting News’ Kyle Irving has the breakdown on Henderson:

With solid size, strength and length at 6-2, 195 pounds with a reported 6-9 wingspan, Henderson already looks the part of a combo guard at the NBA level. The first thing you’ll notice is his explosiveness as an athlete. He takes no time to accelerate before rising up and attacking the basket with aggression. Henderson is at his best when he gets downhill, using his speed and strong frame to absorb contact, shed off defenders and finish at the rim — which is by far the most impressive aspect of his game. …

Henderson’s pull-up game is deadly — and far more advanced than a typical prospect. Not only does he have a smooth shooting stroke and high release, but he’s able to stop on a dime. …

On the other side of the ball, Henderson still has a ways to go. He has the tools to be a disruptive and physical perimeter defender, but we haven’t seen it come to fruition just yet.
