LOS ANGELES — If the Dodgers play into November, the path to a championship will run through Dodger Stadium.
With the Astros’ 7-3 loss to the Rays on Friday, the Dodgers secured the best record in the Majors and home-field advantage throughout the World Series. Game 1 of the Fall Classic would be on Friday, Oct. 28.
The Dodgers have enjoyed a handful of celebrations over the last few weeks. Los Angeles won a ninth NL West title in 10 years on Sept. 14 and clinched a first-round bye in the new postseason format. Shortly after, the Dodgers clinched home-field advantage through the NL Championship Series.
Los Angeles has also set a single-season franchise record in wins with 108 and counting, with six games remaining in the regular season.
